How to submit an invoice for approval - NextGen (OUTDATED)

This article relates to the Quadient AP NextGen UI, which is being released to our customers on a rolling basis. To learn more about the NextGen UI, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.


Once an invoice is fully coded, it is ready to be submitted for approval. You must be the owner of an invoice to submit it for approval. Check out this article if you need to assign yourself as the invoice owner.


Submit an invoice for approval

Click into the invoice details view. In the top right corner, click Submit For Approval, and verify this action by clicking submit in the pop-up window. If the invoice submits for approval successfully, it will move to Pending Approval status. Click on the thumb icon on the right side to see who needs to approve the invoice. 


Occasionally you may encounter an error when submitting an invoice for approval. If you receive the errors 'No Approval Channels match line items' or 'field failed validation', follow the steps in our linked guides to resolve the errors.
