SmartSync for desktop accounting systems requires a dedicated Accounts Payable by Beanworks user. This ensures that SmartSync has the necessary access to the application. Without this dedicated user, you might encounter sync errors that impede your workflow.
Go to Settings - User Management and create a new user with the following:
- Email Address: smartsync@yourcompanydomain
- Roles: System Administrator
- Home Org Unit: Root Org Unit/Top-Level of your Org Unit tree.
This account is only used by SmartSync for login purposes and does not need to be configured as an actual email address in your email client. We recommend you use smartsync@yourcompanydomain, or similar, as the email address so it is easily identifiable. If you need to reset the password for this account, please reach out to the support team for assistance
