System Administrators with access to the Root Org Unit (i.e. top-level) can create new Legal Entities.
Creating Legal Entities
In Settings, select Legal Entities and click the Add New button on the right.
In the dialog, enter the following information for the new Legal Entity:
Business Legal Name: The company's legal name.
Doing Business As (DBA): Operating name of the company, if different from the legal name.
Company Type: Legal structure of the company. Select "Other" if none listed apply.
Time Zone: The company's time zone.
Currency: The company's default currency.
Operational Language: The company's preferred operational language.
Click Save to create the new Legal Entity.
Adding Addresses to Legal Entities
After creating a Legal Entity, any required addresses can be added under the Address tab.
If you use the Payments module, a Remittance address is required. Follow the steps here to create the Remittance address and any other required addresses.
