Rent Manager - List Association

Modified on Thu, 13 Jul, 2023 at 4:26 PM

Quadient AP supports List Association for Rent Manager. List Association restricts the coding options based on the list connections in Rent Manager. Currently, the following List Associations are available:

  • Location & Vendor
  • Location & Property & Unit

Please note that List Association is only available on the Quadient AP NextGen UI, which is being released to our customers on a rolling basis. To learn more about the NextGen UI, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

How to use List Association

Location & Vendor

List Assocation uses the relationship between Location & Vendor set in Rent Manager.

Coding a Location will automatically limit which Vendors can be coded to the invoice. Alternatively, coding a Vendor to the invoice automatically codes the associated Location. Changing the Location coding will remove the associated Vendor.

Location & Property & Unit

List Association users the relationship between Location, Property, & Unit in Rent Manager. Each Unit can only be associated with one Property, and each Property can only be associated with one Location.

Coding a Location will automatically limit which Properties can be coded to the invoice. Coding the Property in turn limits which Units can be coded.

Alternatively, coding a Unit to the invoice automatically codes the associated Property and Location.

Changing the Location coding will remove the associated Property and Unit. Additionally, if a Property or Unit is set as a default list item, changing the Location coding will remove both associated lists. This prevents miscoding which can result in sync errors.
