Once an invoice is fully coded, it is ready to be submitted for approval. You must be the owner of an invoice to submit it for approval. Check out this article if you need to assign yourself as the invoice owner.
Submit an invoice for approval
Click into the invoice details view. In the top right corner, click Submit For Approval, and verify this action by clicking submit in the pop-up window. If the invoice is submitted for approval successfully, it will move to Pending Approval status. Click on the thumb icon on the right side to see who needs to approve the invoice.
Batch submit invoices for approval
Invoices can also be submitted for approval in batches. Select the invoices that you want to submit for approval, and click the green Submit for Approval button.
If an invoice in the batch is unable to be submitted for approval, you will receive an error message. The failed invoices stay in the In Progress tab, while the successful invoices move to Pending Approval status.
Occasionally you may encounter an error when submitting an invoice for approval. If you receive the errors 'No Approval Channels match line items' or 'field failed validation', follow the steps in our linked guides to resolve the errors.
