This article relates to the Quadient AP NextGen UI, which is being released to our customers on a rolling basis. To learn more about the NextGen UI, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
The Currency column is a feature of Quadient AP's NextGen UI featured in both the Invoice and Purchase Order modules. This column displays the ISO code of the currency applied to a transaction. How the Currency column works depends on whether your ERP has a Currency list which syncs with Quadient AP.
How does the Currency column work?
ERPs with a Currency list
You can set a transaction's currency using the Currency list on the Header details. Currencies set at the Header level will override the operational currency set at the Legal Entity level.
ERPs without a Currency list
Transactions will be set to the Legal Entity's operational currency. The following currencies are available as operational currencies:
- USD ($)
- CAD (CA$)
- Euro (€)
- GBP (£)
Unknown Currencies
The Currency list (either from your ERP or the operational currency) relies on the selected currency matching an ISO code. If the transaction's currency is invalid or does not match an ISO code, the currency column will display 'UKN' (Unknown) instead of the correct currency code.
