Sage 50 CA Sync Error - Cannot open database 'E35': Someone else is already using the program under this name. Please use a different user name or try again later!

Occasionally when syncing Quadient AP with Sage 50 CA, you may receive the sync error message: 

'Connection error for Sage 50 Canada company "C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimplyAccounting\2023\Samdata\Enterprise\Universl.SAI" Beanworks.SyncTool.Abstraction.Infrastructures.Exceptions.SerializableException: Cannot open database 'E35: Someone else is already using the program under this name. Please use a different user name or try again later.'!'


How to resolve this sync error

This error occurs when Sage 50 CA is open under the same user profile entered into the SmartSync Integration tab. 

To resolve this error, ensure that this user is not logged in to Sage 50 CA when running a sync. Other Sage 50 CA users can be logged in while runinng a sync, so long as they are logged in in Multi-User Mode.
