This error is caused when the Sage ~PVSW~.LOC file is corrupted or locked by another process.
How to Resolve this Sync Error
On your server, open Task Manager. Under the Processes tab, terminate all instances of Sage 50 US, SmartSync Manager.exe and SmartSync Connector.exe by right-clicking on them and selecting End Task. Please note that the SmartSync Connector.exe is found under Background Processes.
Navigate to the location of your Sage\Peachtree\Company folder. Locate and delete the ~PVSW~.LOC file.
Reopen Sage 50 CA and log into a company. Return to the Sage\Peachtree\Company folder and confirm the ~PVSW~.LOC is regenerated. Once the file is regen, run the SmartSync Connector again followed by SmartSync Manager.
In the SmartSync Manager, run a check under the Diagnostics tab to confirm the error is resolved. You can now run a sync with Sage 50 US.
