How to split invoice lines - NextGen

This article relates to the Quadient AP NextGen UI, which is being released to our customers on a rolling basis. To learn more about the NextGen UI, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.


Quadient AP allows you to split invoice line items by either percentage or equal parts.


Accessing the split rows menu

Select the row(s) in the line items table you want to split. Selected rows are highlighted in blue. When invoice lines are selected, the Split option is activated.

Split by Percentage

Under Split By, click Percentage. You can enter as many percentages as you need as long as it totals 100%. The split percentage that hasn't been fully accounted for is indicated in the Percentage Remaining box. 


By default, the Split by Percentage menu starts with two lines split by 50%. Use the Add Split option to add any additional lines, and click the remove icon to remove any unused lines. Your remaining percentage must equal 0 when you are finished. 

By checking the 'Copy coding details to new lines' box, you can choose to copy the coding for the split lines from the original line(s). Click Split to save the changes.


Split by equal parts

Under Split By, click Equal Parts. Lines can be split between 2 to 100 equal parts.


You can copy the coding from the original line(s) if needed.  Click Split to save the changes.
