System Administrators with Root Org Unit access can create new Legal Entities within Quadient AP. New Legal Entities must be added to SmartSync to connect with your desktop ERP. If you need to create a new Legal Entity, follow the steps here.
You will need access to SmartSync Manager, installed on your ERP server. You may need assistance from your IT team or someone with Administrator access to the ERP server.
Steps to take in SmartSync Manager
On your server, open SmartSync Manager and click Settings.
Navigate to the Legal Entity menu. Any Legal Entities not connected to SmartSync will be orange. Click the checkbox beside the Legal Entities and click Update.
The Legal Entities will turn green when successfully added to SmartSync. If you encounter an error message and need assistance, please get in touch with our Support team.
Steps to take in Quadient AP
Click on the SmartSync tab in Settings to view the SmartSync menu.
Select the relevant company from the Legal Entity dropdown menu, and click Sync. For the initial sync, you must select Full Sync. All subsequent syncs can be run by selecting Partial Sync. A green checkmark indicates the sync was successful. Please take a look at your ERP's specific integration guide for any additional steps needed during the initial sync.
Once the initial sync is completed, you can use the Sync Schedule feature to add scheduled syncs. Check out our guide on configuring your Legal Entity to ensure the new entity is ready for use.
