What Is New - July 2024

Modified on Wed, 7 Aug at 9:47 AM

This guide covers all newly-developed functionality for Quadient AP since the previous entry in this series. These features have been implemented according to our planned development and in reaction to feedback from our customers. Further release notes can be found on the Quadient University.

New Functionality in the Invoices Module

Correct Currency on Imported Payments

Imported payments now display the correct currency symbol for the Applied Amount. The currency symbol now matches the invoice's currency, not the payment's currency.

In the below screenshot, an invoice for £1,200.00 was paid in US Dollar. The Applied Amount now correctly displays £1,200.00. Previously, this was displayed as $1,200.00.

New Functionality in the Purchase Orders Module

Batch Close Purchase Orders

Purchase orders can now be closed in batches. This allows you to quickly close multiple purchase orders at one time. Previously, purchase orders could only be closed individually.

New Functionality in Settings

Batch Close Purchase Orders

Variance settings are now available for approval channels for invoices matched to purchase orders. These settings allow invoices to go through a specific approval channel, even when the invoice amounts vary from those on the purchase order. Variances can be set for:

  • Quantity

  • Unit Cost

  • Total

Changes in Default

Sometimes we have to change features that were implemented previously, which can change the behavior of the feature. We list all such changes in functionality here. If you have been using features that have changed, you may be required to recalibrate or make changes to your established solution.

Mobile App Sign In Options

The Accounts Payable by Beanworks mobile app now exclusively uses Quadient Hub authentication. Previously, customers not yet using Quadient Hub authentication could log into the mobile app using their Accounts Payable by Beanworks credentials.

The previous version of the mobile app had options to sign in via Accounts Payable by Beanworks or Quadient Hub.

Now, only Quadient Hub credentials are accepted. If you try to sign in with Accounts Payable by Beanworks credentials, you will receive the error Username or Password not recognized. Try again.

Contact your Accounts Payable by Beanworks Customer Success Manager to enable Quadient Hub authentication, if you are unable to use the mobile app due to this change.
