Sage 300 requires LanPak licenses for users to access the software. When running a sync, Quadient AP requires a LanPak license to access Sage 300. If there are no available licenses at the time of syncing, you will receive the sync error 'You have reached the maximum number of concurrent users for your LanPak license'
How to resolve this sync error
Open Sage 300 as Administrator, and navigate to Help - Licenses.
In the Licenses window, select Current Users.
In the Current Users Window, you can see all logged-in users under the LanPak tab. You can also see how many LanPak licenses are in use, and the maximum number of LanPak linceses avaialble. available
Select any users that can be logged out, and click the Sign Out Selected Users button to free up some LanPak licenses. It's recommended that all users fully log out of Sage 300 at the end of their session to release any LanPak licenses in use.
Run a sync again once a LanPak license is available.
Additional steps to take if the error persists
If the error persists after completing the above steps, we recommend restarting the SmartSync services. Follow the steps below to do this:
- Log into your server using the SmartSync Windows user.
- Open Task Manager
- Quit all instances of SmartSync Manager & SmartSync Connector
- Open Services and locate the SmartSync Connector Service & SmartSync Polling Service
- Restart both SmartSync Connector & Polling Services. Ensure that the Services are running as the SmartSync Windows user
- Open the SmartSync Connector App - this app runs in the background, so you will not see a pop-up on your screen
- Open the SmartSync Manager App
- In the SmartSync Manager App, click Diagnostics & run a Diagnostics check.
If the error persists after completing both sets of th, please reach out to our Support Team for further assistance.
