How to create a Quadient AP user for SmartSync

Quadient AP connects to your ERP using our data synchronization tool, SmartSync. SmartSync allows us to access the data needed so that you accomplish your workflow needs. A dedicated user in Quadient AP is required to connect SmartSync to the following ERPs:

  • Dynamics GP
  • Sage 50 CA
  • Sage 50 US
  • Sage 100
  • Sage 300
  • QuickBooks Desktop

Creating the SmartSync user

Navigate to Settings - User Management, and select Create User to open the Create User Menu.


In the Create User Menu, enter the following information for the SmartSync user:

  • First Name: Smart
  • Last Name: Sync
  • Email Address: smartsync@yourcompanydomain
  • Confirm Email Address: Confirm the email address entered above
  • New Password: This is a single-use password for the user's first time logging into Quadient AP. You will be prompted to update this password after you log in
  • Confirm Password: Confirm the password entered above
  • Roles: System Administrator
  • Home Org Unit: Root Org Unit/Top-Level of your Org Unit tree in Quadient AP

Click Save to set up the SmartSync user. 


We recommend using smartsync@yourcompanydomain as the email address so it will be easily identifiable for you and our Support team. Please note that this account is considered a dummy account. It will only be used to log into Quadient AP and does not need to be configured as an actual email address with your Outlook or Gmail. If you need to reset the password for this account, please reach out to our Support Team for assistance.
